The Keepers of the Mission

Chris Thorp serves as Program Manager for Sonoma Savanna Youth Foundation, bringing more than 30 years of public service experience to the organization's mission. His career includes serving as a Correctional Deputy with the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office, as well as a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Chris also served for two years as Program Manager for Task Force Sentinel, the first responder division of Operation Enduring Warrior, supporting first responders, military personnel, and their families.

Today, Chris is dedicated to building partnerships that bring live-streamed wildlife and nature experiences into pediatric hospitals, creating moments of comfort, inspiration, and healing for children and families across the nation. His lifelong commitment to service continues through the Foundation's mission of connecting people with the restorative power of nature.

Anneliese Thorp is the Creative Producer for the Sonoma Savanna Youth Foundation, where she creates engaging visual content that inspires curiosity, supports conservation, and connects audiences with wildlife.

Before joining the Foundation, Anneliese earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and gained experience supervising young women in a residential rehabilitation program and working in a veterinary practice. These experiences strengthened her understanding of communication, empathy, and problem-solving while shaping the way she connects with others through storytelling. Building on years of personal filmmaking and nearly a year of professional videography, she is dedicated to using storytelling as a tool to educate, inspire, and encourage conservation.
